Marilyn Anderson is a Placentia native and has lived in the community for 46 years. She has been married to her husband Steve for 36 years, and they love being with their 3 sons, daughters- in-law, and 7 grandchildren. 

Marilyn and her sons all attended Ruby Drive Elementary School, Kraemer Middle School, and Valencia High School. . 

When not participating in and attending school events, Marilyn can be found serving her beloved community. She is  the Co-Leader for “Love Placentia,” a local non-profit that promotes volunteerism in the community. "Love Placentia" partners with local residents, service organizations, schools, local businesses, religious groups, and city government to meet the needs of the community through a city-wide volunteer day  and supports other year-round volunteer opportunities. 

She also is a supporter of Lot318, which supports at-risk youth from the La Jolla community in Placentia to empower them to see their worth and purpose in the world.

Marilyn is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Marilyn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. 

She has professional experience performing search engine optimization as well as working for the Placentia Police Department as a Crime Prevention Officer.
